On May 15th 2019, the  United States Government banned Huawei with a national security order from doing business with US-based companies like Intel, Microsoft, AMD, Google, etc. This means that Google which owns Android also cannot have any trades. They have also given a 90 day period for Huawei to complete any ongoing projects with them and finish giving the updates.

After the 90 day period effectively Google will stop having trade with Huawei and they won’t be able to give Android as the OS in their smartphones and have to develop a new OS for their phones. In case they create a new OS and have their own app store, most used apps like Whatsapp, Facebook, Google Applications, etc.. are all made by US-based companies.

Hence there is a confusion in the minds of the users and the brand itself about how they are going to do this. But the problem here is that Huawei or its sub-brand have not given a press release or anything official about the problems they are facing instead are sending their smartphones for a lot of influencers so as to promote their smartphones and creating end users to buy and invest in their smartphones.

They are not responding to any queries of the media and users and this silence of the company is creating a lot of confusion in the minds of the end user like to buy the smartphones or not. One thing to be noted here is that there is no official confirmation about their relations between Google and other US-based companies after the ban and they may stop supporting the Huawei smartphones entirely like stop giving out Android and other app updates at all. They launched their new smartphones without even talking about the Ban and the future of their company.

So, the final conclusion or the suggestion we provide is to not to buy Huawei’s or its sub-brands smartphone right now. Wait for an official notice from Huawei talking about the issue and what solution they have found about this.
